Knock, knock. Who’s there?? You… You ,who?? You are under arrest. You have the right to remain silent, anything you say will be used against you in the court of law.

I take crime very seriously especially robbery and you, my dear have earned yourself an arrest. Before you claim that you are innocent, hear me out (by that I mean please read this post till the end).

I know that you Amy or Lilly or Anna or Jane or Jill or James or Sam or fillinyourname have a very special skill that you are hiding from the world. Yes, I know about your secret singing sessions in your room, I know about the secret books you write and I know about the videos you make but never show anybody.

If can’t relate to anything I’ve said on this post. If you have found your skill and you use it to help other people then I’m extremely proud of you, keep up the good work.

As for all of the people who have something that they’re really good at but have decided to keep it a secret…this article is for you my love. I know that you probably think keeping your skill a secret is not a big deal but really, it is. By not using your skill you are robbing the world. You are robbing the world a chance to learn from you. You are robbing the world your potential and you are the robbing the world a chance to see your greatness.

You were given your talent for a reason and that reason is to serve people in anyway. Your talent, your skill is what connects you to the world. Go out there and share yourself with the world, share your skill with the world. Sharing yourself with the world means different things for different people. Let’s say maybe you’re great singer and you know a lot about singing, sharing your skill may be singing in a local talent show or joining the school/church choir or starting a band or starting a blog/YouTube channel to teach other people how to sing. Do whatever floats your boat, as long as you’re not letting your beautiful voice go to waste.

I know this sounds scary but you don’t have to do anything crazy or huge…just use your special skill to help or entertain those close to you. If you’re good at maths, you can tutor other students, if you’re great writer you can write a book or if you have knowledge about something you can start a blog and teach us.

With those words I wanted to say that I believe in you and I believe in your special skill. No matter how small or huge your skill is, it matters and it can bring change to the world. And STOP ROBBING THE WORLD FOR HEAVEN SAKE!!!

Share yourself and share your skills. Don’t rob us a chance of seeing and having a great actress, an amazing singer, a magnificent scientist or any amazing talent that you have.
