I know you’re probably thinking: OMG Avuma, what does helping people have to do with my success??
Well, I will answer your question in this blog post. Just read it till the end.
In this post I’ll be featuring this book:
In the book Adam describes that there are 3 reprosity styles. The takers, givers and matchers.
1. Givers : They are kind, friendly people. They are very generous and they generally enjoy helping people. They want to give to the world rather than take from it.
2. Takers : They see life as a competition and they act that way. They are usually self-absorbed and selfish. They want to gain more than they give. They are always only looking out for themselves.
3. Matchers : They love fairness and they’re always looking for fair exchange. They like to give back the same amount that they got.
Please comment down below which reprosity style you think you fall under.
Why givers are more successful than other reprosity styles:
🔹 Their reputation: Givers have excellent reputations as they’re known for their generosity, kindness and selflessness. Their reputation speaks for them and creates opportunities for them.
🔹 Their network of friends and business associates :. I’m sure it comes as no surprise that givers build stronger relationships. People who’ve worked with them before will want to do it again soon. Their network of business associates expands easily and they make long lasting relationships because of the way they treat people. You all know that a great network of people all in your favor does wonders for your success.
🔹 Life works in their favor :. Yes, I know how cheesy that sounds but it’s true. Everybody (except the haters of course) wishes givers good things. They rejoice when a giver becomes successful and they become envious when takers succeed.
Matchers also play a huge role in the success of givers. Matchers like fairness, so they incline to give back to givers because of all the good deeds they’ve done for other people. They actively look for ways to help givers succeed and they create opportunities for them.
Are those enough reasons for you to become a giver?
I’m not saying that you should change your reprosity style or anything like that, because only YOU can make that decision but I saying that the world could use more givers.
