Howdy y’all!! It’s December!! Aren’t you excited?! Isn’t this great?!
2020 is coming to an end and we get to welcome a new year 2021 and I know for sure 2021 is going to be amazing. Not saying 2020 wasn’t great. Who am I kidding?? 2020 wasn’t great, like at all. I’m not saying it was awful, but it was quite something.
Okay, if I were to describe 2020 I would say it was full of surprises. By that I mean it was terrible (mostly), like very terrible.
I mean it was certainly great at times and the challenges forced me to grow and learn. I’m a more grown, more evolved version of myself which I’m grateful for but otherwise 2020 wasn’t great, at all.
2020 wasn’t awful because of everything that was happening in the world but how I reacted to what was happening in the world. You see, that was the real problem and oh boy did I suffer the consequences of my actions.
Reflection Time :
Now that 2020 is coming to an end (thank goodness). It’s reflection time. You get to sit back and look at all the memories, good and bad that you have of 2020. You get to cringe at the stupid things you said and did. You get to be proud of all the things you’ve accomplished this year. You get to see how far you’ve come.
I’m saving the deep juicy reflection for another article. No rush, there’s a whole month left. Right now I just need you to describe 2020 in one word.
Big Ups To You🥂 :
Hey, hey baby… You’re okay, it’s okay, it’s fine. You can let yourself feel the pain now. You can stop faking it now, you can turn that fake smile upside down. You can cry now, it’s okay. Let it all out.
If you don’t want to cry it’s fine but before you leave. Allow me to remind of the time you thought that you wouldn’t make it this year. When you thought you wouldn’t accomplish anything this year, when you thought you didn’t have it in you. Well, you proved yourself wrong. If you think you didn’t, look around. I’m sure there are a lot of things you accomplished this year, big or small. I’m sure you’ll damn well do it again.
Congratulations for making it this far. You must be proud of yourself. You’ve come a long way and you still have a long way to go.
