To wrap up Pride month, this is the part 2 that I promised you.
1. Something to Talk About by Meryl Wilsner:

Jo, a showrunner and her assistant Emma give the world something to talk about when they are photographed sharing a moment on the red carpet.
So from there we watch as their relationship blossom from a strictly professional relationship to something more personal.
I had a good time reading this book. I loved Jo and how she showed her love through small things. I cannot talk more about the things I love about her without spoiling the book.
2. The Lesbiana’s guide to Catholic School by Sonora Reyes:

This book is perfect for anyone who’s still trying to come to terms with their sexuality.
This is the book I needed when I was 15.
In this book we follow sixteen year old Yamilet as she tries to figure herself and maybe, perhaps, hopefully start showing up in the world as that full self.
Not only is she one of the only Mexican students in her white dominated, highly religious school but she is also a closeted gay individual. Add onto that all her family struggles.
3. Her Lesson in love by Heidi Lowe:

“Love comes from the most unexpected places.”
I know, how cheesy (eye roll) but I stopped rolling my eyes when the hot, head-turning, traffic-stopping Miss Petal and one of her student’s mother, Danielle hit it off. I love that for them.
I love the character development of our main character, Danielle. It took a lot of courage to trade her old, comfortable life with a new, exciting life.
4. Jase’s Plus One: A Transgender Romance by Dion Demetri :

When Jase gets dumped by his fiancee a few days before his sister wedding he has no choice but to show up alone. That is, until a beautiful lady is mistaken as his very gorgeous fiancee.
This is a very heartwarming story about two people finally finding the love that they truly deserve.
5. That Summer Feeling by Bridget Morrissey:

“She made me afraid to blink, because to miss even a single second was to miss something revelatory. I would dance with her until the music stopped.”
I finished this book yesterday and I’ve gotta say. This is the best book I’ve read this year and one of the best books I’ve read in my life.
My favourite thing about the book was the writing. Bridget can write, her words feel so effortless yet so deep and they hit you right in the heart. She makes even the most mundane things seem like a once in a lifetime experience. She is soooooo amazing!!!
If you ever want to read one book from this list. Read this one, read this one.
What is this book actually about??
Glad you asked. A woman catches a glimpse of her future through a vision. She is laughing, carefree, happy sitting across a beautiful blonde man. Her vision gets complicated when she falls in love with man’s sister instead.
There you have it, my LGBTQ+ book recommendations. What is your LGBTQ+ book recommendation?? Please leave it in the comment section.
As always, I love you guys so much. Thank you so much for visiting my blog. 🩷
